Ａ：どんな車に乗っていますか。

Ｂ：カローラという車です。

(A car called Corolla)

Note that the Japanese and English word orders are mirror images of each other. ( 車 is the class カローラ belongs to.)

2. Usage

質問：どちらにおつとめですか(=Who do you work for?)。

答え：Applied Materialsという会社につとめています。

This expression implies the answerer assumes that the inquirer may not know what Applied Materials is.

C.f.,

質問：どちらにおつとめですか。

答え：? IBMという会社につとめています。

("?" indicates that the usage is questionable/awkward.)

This sentence sounds odd, because of the presence of 〜という in the answer despite the fact that the inquirer is most likely to know what IBM is.
